John James Peck letter, 1865 July 17.

In a letter to William Parker Snow, Peck writes that with the end of slavery the unity of the people would come soon. He also makes reference to Snow's book SOUTHERN GENERALS. Snow, an English explorer and author, with an interest in the Civil War, sought information and interviews with both Northern and Southern officers. A newspaper clipping with Snow's comments accompany the letter.
