Ruth Partington letter to Mrs. Ranlett [manuscript], 1864 Apr 11.

Apologizes for ill health and inability to come to the Sanitary Fair. Dicusses the suffering that war brings and comments how the soldiers benefited from Saintary Commission's services. Apologizes for not coming and being one of the features of the fair and then puns that "her features are not fair." She wishes that she could contribute more and hopes that the Fair Commissioners are successful. Signed in the fragile hand of Ruth Partington and her son Ike Partington.
