Manuscripts, pamphlets, articles and clippings, and other material relating to Benjamin Bosworth Smith, first Episcopal bishop of Kentucky. These papers were collected on microfilm, presumably in the early 1950s, by Eugene H. Thompson, Jr. Items from the Archives of the Episcopal Church include letters from Smith and other Kentucky bishops, letters concerning Episcopal affairs during the Civil War, and letters concerning the Reformed Episcopal Church (Cummins schism). Papers from General Theological Seminary are essays and addresses by Bishop Smith. Items from Mrs. Hardy include clippings and family letters.
