Journal, July 1849, 15 p., of a trip from Philadelphia, Pa., to Charleston, S.C., and then to Salisbury, N.C., written in letter form by "Sue" to her brother, James W. Burns, Chambersburg, Pa., and two letters. One letter, 26 May 1849, from Aunt Sue to her nephews John and Louis H. Beard at Salisbury, mentions relatives; the other, undated, from Charles M. Burns of Philadelphia, to his cousin Maria in Hillsborough, N.C., mentions the above journal.
