David Hilliard was in prison from 1970 to 1974 on a one-year to ten-year assault charge. Nelson Algren, original name Nelson Ahlgren Abraham was born on March 28, 1909 in Detroit, Michigan and died May 9, 1981 in Sag Harbor, New York.
