The collection consists of corporate records, annual reports, ledgers, articles, speeches, and property plans documenting the company's role in the production of warships for World War II. Also included are operations information such as narrative notes on man hours, labor and costs, 1943-46; scrapbooks; and pamphlets including some of a historical nature pertaining to William Cramp & Sons Ship and Engine Building Company which operated from 1830-1927 and built the facility taken over and operated by CSO with government subsidization, 1941-46.
