[Papers], 1854-1888.

The collection includes letters written by Orion Bartholomew to his family while attending Indiana Asbury University (1856-1861) and while serving in the Union Army during the Civil War with the 15th Regiment, United States Colored Troops. Also included are programs from Indiana Asbury University and Danville Academy, and a printed speech of John Coburn (1868). Also included are letters written by Levi Bartholomew to his family while in service with the 11th Regiment, Indiana Volunteers, during the Civil War.
