Papers consist of speeches and materials related to Jameson's activities in the LSU Womens Faculty Club, the Pan Hellenic Council, Intercollegiate Association for Women Students, National Association for Women Deans, Administrators & Counselors (NAWDAC), and the Louisiana Association for Women Deans & Administrators. Speeches consist of talks given at various conferences and at LSU for student orientation, for Greek societies, at dormitories, and at sorority houses. Topics include etiquette, morality, academic standards, and behavior of students on campus. Cassette tapes of speeches given at NAWDAC conferences are included.

M. Margaret Jameson was born in South Carolina on September 8, 1920. She was educated at Winthrop College and Syracuse University. She held positions at Vanderbilt University, Texas Western College, the University of Maryland, and Mississippi State College for Women before becoming Dean of Women at Louisiana State University in 1966.
