Goodwin and Morriss family papers, 1815-1897 [manuscript].

Chiefly papers and family correspondence of Dr. Beverly Preston Morriss (b. 1822) of Amherst County, Va., physician and partner in Coons and Morriss, a tanning business, 1863-1865, which supplied the Confederate army, relating to the tanning business and the settling of family property in Virginia and West Virginia. Also included are scattered papers, 1875- 1897, of John W. Goodwin, of Lynchburg, Va., an agent with the Norfolk and Western and other railroads, consisting of business and some family letters.
