Ernest Charles Dickson papers, 1909-1939.

Correspondence, lab books, article drafts, reprints and a reprint reference file chiefly from research into the etiology and prevention of botulism which was sponsored by the National Canners Association, the Canners League of California and the California Olive Association and conducted by E.C. Dickson of the Dept. of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Stanford University, with K.F. Meyer and J.C. Geiger, 1920-22. Collection includes a notebook entitled: Lectures in bacteriology and immunity, Professor Wm. W. Welch, Johns Hopkins Hospital, 1907-1908. Principal correspondents include his collaborators, sponsors, and Ray Lyman Wilbur.

Karl Friedrich Meyer was born May 19, 1884, in Basel, Switzerland, and died in San Francisco, California on April 27, l974. He came to the University of California in 1914 as Professor of Bacteriology and Experimental Pathology. He became Director of the G. W.
