This collection primarily consists of miscellaneous printed material of the Communist Party of the U.S.A. and various leftist organizations. There are pamphlets, flyers and tracts from communist party organizations in the United States, primarily in the 1930s and 1940s, including publications of the Young Communist League. Also included are runs of Communist Party and labor periodicals. The collection also contains a variety of publications on race issues as well as abolitionist and early suffragists' newspapers of the United States.
