Kalman J. De Juhasz (1893-1972), international authority in the field of diesel engine research, was born and educated in Hungary. He graduated summa cum laude from the Technical University in Hungary and prior to coming to the United States in 1927, taught at the University of Engineering Sciences in Budapest.
