Warren Christopher was born on October 27, 1925. He received a B.S. from the University of Southern California in 1945 and an LL.B. from Stanford University in 1949. He has been a lawyer in private practice in Los Angeles since 1950. He served as Deputy Attorney General during the Lyndon Johnson administration, 1967 to 1969, and he served as Deputy Secretary of State during the Carter administration, 1977 to 1981.
