Diary and commonplace book documenting Prendergast's military career and family during and after the wars with Revolutionary and Napoleonic France. Describes his service and travel with three regiments: the 38th in the Netherlands, Germany, the West Indies, England, and Ireland (1794-1802); the 8th in Ireland, England, and Germany (1802-1806); and the 84th in India (Madras, Bombay, Mysore, Hyderabad, and Goa), Mauritius, England, and Ireland (1806-1826). Includes his later residency and travels in England, France, Ireland, the Channel Islands, and Italy (1826-1838). Memoranda include the organization and operations of the East India Co., Prendergast and Gordon genealogy and history, and a Hindu drama. Also a drawing of Lady Prendergast (1830).
