A small collection of papers of Henry Gardner of Stow, Mass., first treasurer and receiver general of Massachusetts, including receipts regarding the printing of Colony currency and support for the poor of Boston. Also, papers of physician Joseph Gardner, including some correspondence and papers regarding his estate, with a complete inventory of real and personal property. Also, some papers for Henry, Clarissa (Holbrook), Henry J., and Herbert Gardner, among other family members. Henry J. Gardner's papers mostly relate to his business interests as Henry J. Gardner and Company, but include correspondence (1885) regarding a French spoliation claim.
