Ernest Chapman Hill (1893-1968) was the son of Daniel C. Hill of Eldorado, Texas, and operated the Eldorado Hardware Company with his father. In 1930, he purchased the company from his father and continued to operate it until his death in 1968. Hill was active in the Eldorado Lions Club, the school board, the Schleicher County Democratic Committee, and the Texas Game, Fish, and Oyster Commission.
