Russell W. Gibbons, of the Philip Murray Institute of Labor Studies in Pittsburgh, was director of the 1892 Homestead Strike Centennial, editor of the Pennsylvania Labor History Journal, and lecturer in the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations at Pennsylvania State University.
