Interview with Donald den Daas, a veteran of the Royal Netherlands Overseas Army, concerning his experiences as a prisoner-of-war of the Japanese in the Dutch East Indies during World War II. den Daas discusses the fall of Java and his capture in Bandung, Indonesia (1941), his escape from Bandung (1942), his recapture and torture by the Japanese Kempei Tai (1944), his return to Bandung (1945), and his liberation. Appendix includes photocopies of various biographical documents of Donald de Daas.
