Correspondence between Bruner, her uncle Adelbert Ames, Jr., and the director of the Dartmouth Eye Institute, later the Hanover Institute, John Pearson. Much of the correspondence relates to the development of terminology used to describe visual and social perception and relates to the physiological optics research of the institute. Included are copies of research reports and other writings of both Ames and Pearson.
