To the honorable Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled. The memorial of the State of Louisiana galley proof, circa 1817.

Galley proof, with mss. revisions and additions, of the message of the Louisiana Legislature to the U. S. Congress, requesting that various land claims from territorial days be confirmed. The revisions and additions may have been made by Edward Livingston. The final version, which was communicated to the U. S. Senate on December 19, 1817, appears in the American State Papers, Vol. 30, Public lands, v. 3, pp. 282-285.
