Civil and criminal case files of the Iowa County Circuit Court and County Court. County Court records end in Desk 2 Box 5, 1854. (From 1849-1854 Clerk of Circuit Court was also Clerk of County Court). All papers pertaining to a case are filed together. Box 2 contains miscellaneous clerk's papers including: Correspondence, unfiled papers, cases which are incomplete or not indexed, copies of deed. Cases are arranged by original desk and box file number.
