Augustus Summerfield Merrimon papers, 1850-1868 [manuscript].

Collection includes diaries, 1850-1851 and 1853, while Merrimon was a student as the Ashville Male Academy and while studying law at Asheville, N.C., including comments on fellow law Student Zebulon Baird Vance, record of judgements, 1859-1863, in cases in which Merrimon was attorney; and docket of cases, 1868, he argued before the North Carolina Supreme Court.
