Letters Patent, 1854, January 31. 17 Victoria.

Letters patent of Albert Edward, prince of Wales, duke of Saxony, Cornwall and Rothsay, earl of Chester, Carrick and Dublin, baron of Renfrew, lord of the Isles, and Great Steward of Scotland, appointing Franis Howell of Ethy House (Cornwall) as sheriff of Cornwall. Given at Somerset House. Parchment rubricated and decorated in red and blue, with arms of Saxony and England, with motto "Ich Dien." Endorsed with a note of enrollment in the office of the Duchy of Cornwall, 1 February 1854.
