Half-length portrait of Albert Gallatin Worthington was painted by John Wesley Jarvis in the United States around 1830. This oil on canvas portrait has an ornate gilt frame. Worthington is shown looking forward wearing a dark coat with brass buttons, a light-colored waistcoat and a white shirt with a high collar. On the reverse is a stenciled mark that reads "JW Jarvis."

Albert Gallatin Worthington (1804-1834) was the fourth child of Ohio Governor Thomas Worthington and his wife Eleanor Swearingen Worthington. Portrait painter John Wesley Jarvis (1780-1840) was born in England and moved to the United States as a child. He was the nephew of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism.
