Grant by Thomas Cheyne of Eastchurch in the Isle of Sheppey (Kent), knight, to William Lunsforde of all his tenement and 16 acres of land lying at "Mawdelyn" in the parish of St. Michael within the liberty of the town of Hastings (Sussex) called "Cheynes tenement," lately in the tenure of Thomas Neston, deceased, at a yearly rent of 28s. at the feast of the Annunciation and at Michaelmas; with covenants for distraint and re-entry in the event of non-payment; also with appointment by the said Thomas Cheyne of William Benet of Hastings his attorney to deliver siesin. Given on 10 February, 31 Henry VIII. With a note of livery of seisin.
