Recovery in Pyrton and Tey vs. Knightley, 1611, February 12. 8 James I.

Exemplification under the seal of the Court of Common Pleas, made at the request of Sir Edward Coke, Chief Justice of the Bench, of the enrolment of the following during Hilary term, 8 James I: (1) Writ precipe directed to the sheriff of Norfolk (9 Elizabet I) commanding George Knyghtley, esq., to render to Edmund Pyrton and Thomas Teye, esqs., the manor of Morgrave with its appurtenances in Martham, Hemsbye, Clyppesby, Horsey, Wynterton, Reppes, Rolesbye, Higham, Est Somerton, and West Somerton which they claim as their rightful inheritance which the said George Knyghtley was bound to render to them after the death of Hugo Hunt. (2) Appointment of John Whetley and William Nelson attorneys for George Knyghtley to deliver the aforesaid lands to Edmund Pyrton and Thomas Teye. (3) Precept to the sheriff of Norfolk of 9 October, 9 Elizabeth I, to cause Edmund Pyrton and Thomas Teye, esqs., to have full seisin of the manor of Morgrave, etc., which they have recovered against George Knyghtle, esq., in the Court of Common Pleas, Westminster. With return of Lionel Talmage, esq., sheriff of Norfolk, of said livery. Thomas Walmysley, Peter Warburton, Thomas Foster, justices.
