Lease, 1636, May 31. 12 Charles I.

Lease by John Cary of the city of London, esquire, to George Farewell of Hill Byshopps (Somers.) for £1,800 and a term of 99 years a moiety of the manor of Mynster in the Isle of Thanett (Kent), late parcel of the possessions of the monastery of St. Augustine's near the walls of Canterbury, and of a moiety of divers other lands, etc., granted by his majesty James I by letters patent dated 24 December, 9 James I, to Sir Philip Cary, knight, John Williams of London, esquire, and William Pitt, then of Westminster (Midd.) and now Sir William Pitt, knight; then to hold to the payment of debts incurred for Sir Henry Cary, knight and lord viscount Falkland.
