Bargain and sale by William Turner of East Grinstead (Sussex), yeoman, to William Stevens of Cowden (Kent), carpenter, for £60 of a piece of land called Eastland, containing 5 acres lying in the parish of Cowden, bounded by the highway there leading from Eaton Bridge to Hartfield to the west; the land of John Stretfield, George Johnson, and the heirs of John Wickendon late of the Hole to the south; and the lands of George Stevens, brother of the said William Stevens, to the north and east; now in the tenure and occupation of George Knight or his assigns. With livery of seisin on dorse.
