Covenant between John Fetherston the Elder of Packwood (Warwicks.), yeoman, and William Fetherston his third son, witnessing that whereas John is seised in fee simple of a tenement, etc., and 1 meadow adjoining and also 3 closes, etc., one called Shepecot and the other Rinellels, lying in the parish and lordship of Haseley (Warwicks.), late in the tenure or occupation of Robert Wright and now in the tenure and occupation of John Wilson; and also one other close or pasture with its appurtenances called Bornefield in Bewsall in the parish of Hatton, now or late in the occupation of William Gibbes, bounded by lands of John Fetherston, late of Richard Birdeland, called Ropefield, on the south side; the land of Thomas Smyth now in the tenure of Nicholas Woodams called Barnefield on the north side; and also one little coppice of wood "and the sayle thereof" lying in the parish of Haseley aforesaid. By this deed, the aforesaid John will stand seised of the premises to the following uses: to his own son for his life, then to the use of the said William in tail, in default of issue to the use of Thomas Fetherston, youngest son of the said John in tail, and in default of issue to his own (John's) right heirs forever.
