Grants by Henry Cutler of Eye in the county of Suffolk, esquire, brother and executor of Charles Cutler of Eye, esquire, deceased, to William Appleton of Dartford in the county of Kent, gentleman, and John Appleton of the Middle Temple, gentleman, for the sum of £500 of 2 parts of the manor (to be divided into 3 parts) of Bedingham in Occolt, alias Occolde, in the county of Suffolk, parcel of the possessions of the lately dissolved monastery of St. John's near Colchester, and 2 parts of the advowson of Occolt and of a messuage, etc., in Occolt called Thrombolds; for the payment of Charles' debts, the said Henry and Susan his wife acting as executors being authorized thereunto by the said Charles' will, dated 24 February 1581 [1582]. Endorsed with a note of enrolment on the dorse of the Close Roll, 24 June [28 Eliz I]. And with a note under the flap of recognition by Matthew Carew in Chancery, 22 June 28 Elizabeth [I].
