Lease between Robert Brady, doctor in philosophy, master or keeper of the College of Gonvile and Caius, founded in honor or the Annunciation of the Blessed Mary Virgin, the University of Cambridge and the fellows of the same College on the one part, and Maurice Shulton of Blow Norton in the county of Norfolk, esquire, on the other part, for 20 years of their messuage, lands, etc., in the town of Barningham in the county of Suffolk along with its appurtenances, heretofore in the tenure and occupation of one John Hearne and after of one William Harike and after of one Robert Symonds and James Greene and William Marlton and John Bales and lastly of Edmund Harvy; reserving only all woods, timber, and timber trees now growing or hereafter to be growing upon the ground of the same. Rent: £8 6s. 8d. and 2 1/2 quarters of wheat and 3 quarters and 3 bushels of malt or their market value; the leasee binding himself in £100 marks to observe the covenants of the lease.
