Agreement, 1669, June 9. 21 Charles II.

Agreement made between Thomas Willis of Petworth in the county of Sussex, mercer, Edward Onley of the parish of Pulborough in the said county, gentleman, and Eilizabeth his wife, mother of Thomas Willis, of the one part; and Edward Rookes of the parish of Petersfield in the county of Hampshire, gentleman, of the other part; that whereas the fine "sur cognizance del droit comme ceo" is already expected to be levied before his majesty's justice of the Court of Common Pleas at Westminster before the end of Trinity term now next ensuing beteen Edward Rookes, plaintiff, and the other parties herein named, deforciants, of 22 acres of land in Petersfield and Sheete, including Walkers Moore, etc.; now this indenture declares that the said fine shall enure to the use of the said Edward Rooke only.
