Grant, 1630, Jan. 20. 6 Charles I.

Grant by Marmaduke Franke of Kneton, alias Kneeton, in the county of York, esquire, for £10 and in partial performance of the covenants in a certain indenture of 19 January made between him and Robert, earl of Kingston-upon-Hull, to Samuel Browne of Lincoln's Inn, esquire, and Robert Butler of Furnivall's Inn, gentlemen, of the manor and lordship, etc., of Kneton, alias Kneeton, in the parish of Middleton Tyas, which the granter had by descent from George Franke his father, so that Samuel and Robert may be able to suffer a common recovery with double voucher to the uses expressed in the above recited. Marginal note: "E'd P. Hn: Cressy". Endorsed with a note of enrollment on the dorse of the close roll by Thomas Stanley, 26 January 1630.
