Grant, 1568, Feb. 25. 11 Elizabeth I.

Grant by Thomas Baker of the city of London, scrivener, to Richard Jenens of Portismouthe "in the county of Southampton," merchant, of all that little new tenement with a small piece of land adjacent lying in the town of Portismouthe and abutting on the land called "Pennystreate" to the south, with the garden and way even now or lately of Thomas Vanse, mariner, to the north and west, and the king's highway leading from the high street to the four houses to the east; which piece of land contains 38 feet and 4 inches square and is now in the occupation of Anthony Vanse; rent: 4d. yearly to the chief lords of the fee.
