Acknowledgement by Anthony Roberts, one of the sons of John Roberts, late of Brenchisley in the county of Kent of the receipt from John Pykenden of Staplehurst in the county aforesaid of £12 3s. 4d., the last installment of a sum of £125 due to Anthony and John his brother by reason of a bargain and sale of the messuage and 5 pieces of land in Lamberherst in the county of Sussex containing 60 acres, formerly of John Roberts his father, as appears by an indenture dated 30 September, 31 Henry VIII.
