Lease by the Right Honorable Francis, Earl of Cumberland, lord of the honor of Skipton in Craven, lord of Westmoreland, Vypoint, Atton Vesey, Bromfleet, and George Heles, his servant, to Thomas Frankland of Hetton in Craven, husbandman, for 99 years in consideration of the sum of £16 paid in hand and a yearly rent of 3s. of all those parcels and portions of land, etc., with their appurtenances in the fields of Hetton aforesaid, now in the tenure of the said Thomas or his assigns and which were sometime parcels of an anceint tenement in the possession of one William Dunwell and by him assigned to the said Francis, excepting for coalpits, etc.; Thomas to do suit at the earl's court of Hetton and grind his corn at the earl's mill of Hetton or Rilleston.
