Grant by the prior and convent of Sempringham (Lincs.) to John, son of William de Kirkeby, of the underwritten lands in the territory of Kirkeby (Lincs.), to wit: 6 selliones between the land of Guy Gubond and that of the convent of Brunna and that of Simon, son of John; 1 sellion between the land of the plumber and that of Hugh, son of Mathilde; 1 sellion between the land of the said Hugh and that of John, son of Wiliam, son of Edward; 1 sellion to the north of the land of Alan Edward abutting on the grantor's meadow at Kinelholdbrigges; and 2 sellions between the land of Alan, son of Thomas, and that of Geoffrey, son of Matilda; and 2 sellions at the south end of the vil between the land of Richard Gowmus and that of Edmund Gowmus; 2 sellions between the land of Richard, son of Alan, and that of Richard Gowmus; 1 sellion at Renfune between the meadow and the land of Alan, son of Thomas; and 1 sellion at the church between the land of William le Jovene and that of the church; in perpetual exchange for 1 'cultura' in the territory of Boleby (Lincs.), lying between the land of the said convent of Sempringham and that of Richard de Cotis and containing 7 1/2 acres, the north head of which abuts upon Brodheng and the south upon Wimbelthwait, which John, son of William de Kirkeby, by this charter grants to the prior and convent and their successors in frank-almoigne; with covenant for resumption by the prior and convent for lack of warranty.
