Quitclaim by Robert Deysy of Chelmesford in the county of Essex, John Bedel of Writele in same county, William Parker of the same, Robert Chelmesford of Chelmesford aforesaid, and William Shether and Geoffrey Kervere of the same to Master John Arundell, rector of Chelmesford, of their right in a grange with a croft of land adjacent thereto called "Arrowsmythis Croft" with all the cottages and their appurtenances built on this croft land, situated and lying in Chelmesford, bounded by the land of the bishop of London called "Chapelfelde" on one side, and between the land lately of John Herlyng which was formerly of Robert Deighere, now of Guy Herlyng on the other side, and abutting on the King's Highway called "newstrete" at one end and at the other end the meadow called "Tunmanmede"; which grange, croftland, and cottages with their appertenances they had of the demise of William Bedell of Writele aforesaid, gentleman, Robert Lyston of Chelmesford, and John Nicoll the Younger of the same. Given on the 25th of October, 32 Henry VI.
