Grant, 1551, June 2. 5 Edward VI.

Grant by Richard Hall of Lydde (Kent) to John Castlen of Great Chart (Kent) of a tenement and 5 pieces of land and pasture containing approximately 10 acres, lying in the parish of Lydde aforesaid at Dengemershe and in the tenure of the court of Dengemershe, bounded by the lands of the grantor to the northwest, the King's Highway leading from Dengemershe Beach to Crabtrone on the northeast, the way leading from the land of John Mayne to the Southmersh and the land of John Bate to the southwest and the land of the grantor called Donstones to the west and sea coast to the northwest, and one other acre of land lying in "le Longe Rakyn" in southmersh aforesaid bounded by the marshlands of Dengemersh aforesaid to the southeast and west and the lands of the said John Mayne lately of James Robyns to the north. Given at Lydde on the 2nd of June, 5 Edward VI.
