Grant by Thomas Materas of Smerden (Kent) to John Hunte and William Halsnoth of 3 pieces of land called Hoygysfeld, le Reche, and Hoyggyscroft, containing 8 acres in the parish of Smerden on the denne of Bresynden (bounds given), on condition that John and William pay to Thomas 10 marks, in two instalments of 5 marks each; with liberty to the grantor to re-enter the premises, if either instalment is not paid with 15 days of the times appointed. Given at Smerden on 13 July, 17 Edward IV.
