Papers, 1861-1863.

Collection consists primarily of letters from Kennedy to his wife Jane M. Kennedy following his Civil War career up to his death from wounds in 1863. Letters include descriptions of the Battle of Shiloh, Siege at Corinth, Battle of Arkansas Post and the Siege at Vicksburg. Kennedy's regiment spent time in Paducah, Kentucky and Memphis, Tennessee. Poetry by Jane M. Kennedy is included.
