Collection includes two letters (to Joseph Story, 1837, and Daniel Webster, 1848), a request for a subscription to "Spectator" (1843), and 2 responses to requests for autographs (1861 and 1864). Also includes a brief for the plaintiff in Heisely v. Coutchman (ca. 1810) and a book request to the Librarian of Congress (1855). Pasted in the 1864 note are two newspaper clippings; a letter from Taney to H. McAlcer dated May 1864 and Taney's obituary.
