Scattered family and business correspondence, chiefly 1831-1891, of David Bradley Perry, planter of Beaufort County, N.C., and his sons-in-law, Rufus W. Wharton and David M. Carter, lawyers and Confederate officers. The letters relate to a variety of family concerns, including news from Perry relatives in Connecticut in the 1840s, and include Civil War items relating to the 4th, 21st, and 67th N.C. regiments, and letters from Sarah Lindsay Carter in Europe, 1889-1891.
