Papers of Charles Robert Tessier consist of certificates commissioning Tessier as notary public and justice of the peace of East Baton Rouge Parish and Pointe Coupee Parish; oaths of office dated 1871 and 1872; a bond, dated 1888, furnished by Tessier in his capacity of notary public, along with a letter by Thomas H. Hewes regarding the bond; and two letters from C.J. Hedenberg of Philadelphia, Pa., concerning a proposed engraving of General Andrew Jackson before Judge Dominick A. Hall and the persons who are to be represented in the engraving along with Jackson.
