Papers of Maxine Finsterwald, 1928-1983.

The papers of Maxine Finsterwald document her literary career.The majority of the collection is comprised of typescript drafts and published copies of both her fiction and nonfiction writings. These include her plays written under the pseudonym Maxine Wood. Playbills make up one entire box. These were from plays she attended and not plays which she herself wrote. She also kept scrapbooks about her work. One is entirely devoted to her play "On Whitman Avenue", and the other contains biographical articles, reviews, and programs.
