Grace Morris Allen Jones, educator, was born in Keokuk, Iowa in 1876 and grew up in Burlington, Iowa. She was involved in the founding, administration and curriculum of three schools for African-Americans in Iowa and Mississippi. Her husband, Dr. Laurence Jones, founded the Piney Woods Country Life School in Piney Woods, Mississippi.
