The papers contain Hamilton's memoirs, "The Hamilton Saga," in two parts, Book 1, 1898 to 1950, and Book 2, Widowhood. A bound version of Book 1 is included but does not contain all the photographs and newspaper clippings found in the rough draft. Also included are photographs, interviews, and other written materials about her husband, family, friends, and personal interests. A professional series contains newspaper clippings and photographs of Hamilton during her days of teaching, politics, speech, and radio work. Several of the bills Hamilton worked on in the New Hampshire legislature and other legislative materials are also included. A travel series contains information from her many trips abroad, materials used in her lectures about her travels, and photographs and brochures from her trips. Also included is a general correspondence file including correspondence with novelist Irving Stone and New Hampshire governor Sherman Adams, and a large collection of artifacts collected as souvenirs of her travels. Of special interest are her collections of stamps and coins from countries which no longer exist as political entities.
