Papers of Cornelia Shrauger Day, 1912-1995.

Correspondence, memorabilia, clippings, scrapbooks, diaries, speeches, and photographs relating to Day's activities and involvement with the Young Women's Christian Association, Planned Parenthood of Southeast Iowa, UNICEF, and other local organizations. Also included is a book entitled Fifty years at marriage, 1940-1990, by Day, a history of the YWCA of Washington, Iowa, by Day and Esther Bordwell, and a history of Presbyterian churches in Washington County,Iowa, compiled by Day. The papers also document the Days' extensive involvement in international affairs by virtue of their associations with the Experiment in International Living program, the Governmental Affairs Institute, the United States State Department's Foreign Leader Exchange Program, the Rotary Club Foreign Student Exchange Program, and the American Field Service Student Program. The couple's foreign travel is represented by a collection of itineraries, correspondence, brochures, and diaries. Correspondents include Day's parents, Cornelia Prentiss and Harold Shrauger, her husband Robert Day, Wilbur Day, and Dennis and Edward Day, the couple's children.
