Thurston County Pioneer and Historical Society's scrapbook collection of pioneer death notices, 1947-1955.

This is a collection of four scrapbooks that consists of obituaries of primarily, pioneers of Thurston County, Washington. Most of the obituaries were clipped from the Daily Olympian by Bernice A. Sapp from 1947-1951. Throughout the scrapbooks, there are notations about those people that were pioneers of the area as well as other individuals' obituaries collected in the scrapbooks. One scrapbook has a label on the cover that states: "Obituarial [sic] material, DPW Loan Collection." Another scrapbook has a label: "This scrapbook contains valuable material for final obituarial [sic] and genealogical files."
