Interview with Edward and Mary Newhouse concerning their experiences as residents of Hamilton Park, Texas from 1955 to 1990. The Newhouses discuss their youth in East Texas, education in segregated schools, housing problems for African Americans in Dallas, home improvements, social life, school activities, desegregation and closing of Hamilton Park Junior and Senior High Schools, flooding problems, Pacesetter, Civic League, zoning problems, the "Buy Out," and changes in quality of life in the community.
